Two companies have been shortlisted as best evaluated bidders for the supply and delivery of 210 cattle to Muchinga and Northern provinces at a cost of US $137, 539 million which is equivalent to K1.9m.

The two companies are Sharemix Limited and Global Trading Limited.

Sharemix Company Limited will supply and deliver a hundred beef cattle at a cost of $54, 200 (K785, 900) over a period of four weeks.

This means that the firm will be supplying one animal at a cost of K7, 859.

On the part of Global Trading Limited, the company will supply and deliver 110 Dairy cattle at a cost of $82, 339 (K1, 193, 915).

This means the supply and delivery of each of the 110 dairy cattle will cost K10, 853.

However, the two firms will only undertake the jobs if there will be no objections before Friday February 7, 2020.

This is according to a procurement and supply unit notice by the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock.
